The remake series of Survivors debut on 9 last night. I already seen all of the series so far so I only saw bits of it on the 9 broadcast and it had some technical difficulties with the audio.

Following on the feature length opening episode of the remake series, 9 is showing the series in double episodes.
Episodes 2 and 3 were shown together on Sunday March 28. However with two standard episodes running to a total of 116 minutes and with the programme being allocated a two hour slot 9 has made cuts to the episodes.
The only ones I have noticed is the beginning of episode 2 with the omission of the previously montage (the previously montage is also missing from episode 3 which is to be expected due to the double episode screening) and the proper beginning of episode two jumps straight to Abby at the window and then some of the group going into the car. Episode 2 actually began with Al and Najid playing soccer watched by Abby at the window as she also looks at the picture of Phil Emerson.
Also episode 2 featured Davros on the Radio Times cover and both Davros and Survivors were created by Terry Nation.
Episodes 4 and 5 of season 1 on Easter Sunday April 4 got a thumbs up in the SMH Guide by Lissa Christopher. She described the characters as "engaging, the performances are solid, there's plenty of drama and action (albeit unlikely) and the cinematography has some shining moments".

Upon my glance of Survivors on 9 the previous week I thought that it was a double episode screening. Well not quite.
Survivors has just finished its first run of the first season on 9 with the last instalment beginning with Al waking up late at Sam's community which in actuality is 24 minutes into episode 4 almost halfway through the episode. It was then followed by the last two episodes of the season. With a two hour slot it was obvious that with 2 and a half 58 minute episodes shown during this time frame and taking into account the ad breaks that a lot of things got cut from transmission.
I was quite surprised that 9 promoted it as the conclusion because notwithstanding the second season (which 9 may or may not show in future) because the tv guides that I have did not pick up on it as there was no "Final" label for Survivors.

On the season 2 DVD release of the Adrian Hodges series, the audio description for Episode 3, the narrator said that Samantha was having whiskey and that a third of it was still in the bottle. It looks the narrator misread the script for the audio description as it is clearly seen that the bottle actually had two thirds filled with whiskey.
