Week 9: Battlestar Galactica

It’s week nine! Only a quarter of the session to go. Aww. This week at SpockSoc, we’re showing the final four episodes of Battlestar Galactica. Here’s hoping it’ll be a good finish. =) It starts at 5pm in Goldstein G06, pizza run during the night. Since there’s not enough time in the screening to show both, we’ll be postponing Middleman by a fortnight, to the week eleven screening.

In other news, the movie outing went well, but turnout for the trivia night was disappointingly small. This makes el presidente sad, and when el presidente gets sad, he starts getting dictatorial. >=D

In all seriousness, though, was Monday simply too inconvenient for most people? Did I not advertise it enough? Do I just smell bad? Let me know, so I can make things better for the next trivia night.

Week 2: Battlestar Galactica

This week at SpockSoc, we’re watching Battlestar Galactica, the second half of the fourth (and final) season. We’ll only be able to watch as many episodes as we can fit, so expect another screening later on to finish it off. We’re going to be in Hut D10 again, starting at 5pm. Pizza run during the night as usual, $5 per half pizza, with a free drink.

For those who aren’t quite up-to-date with BSG, I’ll give a brief recap before we start, but as last year’s SpockSoc members (like all of America) have been waiting the better part of nine months to see the second half of the season, we won’t be re-screening the first half, sorry.
