With semester coming to a close, the ultimate boss battle looms. Studies can be daunting, so take a step back (in time) and celebrate the end of semester with Spocksoc’s Friday Night screenings. This week, explore the world of time travelling terrorists and boy geniuses with Continuum
When a group of rebels convicted as terrorists escapes execution by fleeing from the year 2077 to 2012, Kiera Cameron, a future Vancouver law enforcement officer, is involuntarily transported with them. In order to track them down and keep them from changing the past (and presumably future), Kiera joins the Vancouver Police Department and uses the skills of a young tech expert, Alec Sadler.
This weekend the end-of-semester goodness continues, with our spooky, scary, League of Super Nerds Halloween Ball. Spocksoc is co-hosting and end-of-semester Halloween party alongside Vadersoc, Docsoc, Game of thrones Society and the Tolkien Society. Tickets are $40 for arc members ($45 for non-arc members), which includes food and drink on the night. There is also an alcohol free option for $30 for arc members ($35 for non-arc members).
