Week 3 – Agents of SHIELD

Agents Of ShieldAre your Spidey senses tingling? Can’t pick a side? Torn between the man of iron and captain’s crusaders? If you need your Marvel fix, grab your lanyard, start the bus and fly over to Spocksoc this week as we return to the world of superheroes, aliens, secret agents and the many faces of Stan Lee with Marvel’s Agents of Shield

For those of you who have never seen the show (or are not clearance level 7), following the alien invasion of New York, S.H.I.E.L.D. (Strategic Homeland Intervention, Enforcement and Logistics Division) sets up a small team to investigate superhuman and super villain activity. Coulson’s team must now cope with the widespread emergence of Inhumans, while old enemies seek to destroy S.H.I.E.L.D. for good. We will be starting at 5pm in Macaulay Theatre and doing a pizza run at 7pm

Also coming is the Spocksoc movie outings for Zootopia at the Ritz Cinema on Tuesday 22nd. All animals live together in the city of Zootopia, but when Officer Judy Hopps arrives as the first bunny on the police force, she doesn’t fit the way she thought she would. In order to prove herself she tries to track down fox Nick Wilde, who has to go on the run after being framed for a crime that he did not commit. Both Judy and Nick find themselves at the center of a conspiracy and they must work together in order to get to the bottom of their problems. We will be going to the 6:50 screening and having dinner afterwards

And finally, but certainly not least, is our Midnight Screening of Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice on Wednesday 23rd. When some begin to fear Superman because of his great power, Gotham City’s vigilante, Batman, decides to take on Metropolis’s superhero. However, the infighting leaves the world exposed to a new threat that puts mankind in greater danger than anyone could have possibly imagined.
